*Bio: Zohar is a bio-experiment in the field of necrobiology; the study of the undead. Created as the prototype for a unique cloning process, led by Dr. Zadkiel Amarante, Zohar lived in the laboratories of Metal Velvet HQ for the first 50 years of his 'life' until the project was closed and Zohar and Zadkiel were forced out.
Zohar is a pure-blooded incubus genetically linked to the infamous demons Incubus and Succubus themselves, despite his unnatural creation... meaning that he was never human. If he were to visit Hell, he would be considered Hellion, a full demon.
There is a lot more to Zohar than meets the eye. Look beyond the vain, immature exterior.. you may find something hidden very deep...

*Bio: Glenn was the son of a wealthy French noble family in the 1600's. His connections to a powerful, reclusive duke and duchess led ultimately to his 'death' and rebirth as a vampire. But how did this come to pass? We may be soon to discover.. Glenn is still a fledgling, so he isn't aware of his dark gift yet.
Upon hearing of Queen Soma's tragic fate, he became very upset. What is his connection to her?

Personality: Calm and cool, highly intelligent, yet he can be very defensive sometimes

*Bio: Born in Scotland during the peak years of the vampire revolution. His human name was Zachary Warren, though he changed it to Zadkiel Amarante after becoming a vampire and marrying the succubus, Amara.
Though he works as a bartender now, Zadkiel was once one of the top Necrobiologists in the world. In fact, it was Zadkiel and his team of experts that took on the Black Genesis Project, the 55-year long study that created Zohar. However, when the project ended, he was expelled from the labs. He took with him the only thing he had left: Zohar.
Zadkiel is a gentle person by nature, befitting his Dark Gift as a healer. He is loving and protective, particularly of Zohar. He'd rarely let a good person slip by him, as he's realized over the years that there are so few kind people left in the world...

Race: "High Lord" Vampire; being sired by Queen Soma makes him an Arch Hellion by blood

Dark Gift: Transmogrifcation (takes the form of a giant gargoyle-beast)

Personality: Cold, irritable, easily angered/short-tempered, controlling, dominating

*Bio: Miyuzel is currently a member of the "Council of Six," a group of six arch-demons that basically control the world in it's current state. He 'rules' all of Europe, but when it comes down to real power, Miyuzel is the most dominant member of the council. His opinions and decisions are always the final say in any matter, and he controls it all with an iron fist.
Miyuzel demands complete loyalty of his subordinates and does not tolerate any sort of disobediance, deviance, or treason. Those who do defy him can be expected to meet a horrific end (often in public) or simply disappear.
Miyuzel was born a human (of Egyptian descent) and adopted as a child by the kindhearted vampire Queen Soma. Because of her blood, he is automatically an Arch Hellion. Being a part of this bloodline physically altered his appearance over the centuries to look gradually more and more demonic. Legend has it that Soma was only able to sire one fledgling and Miyuzel was the one. Thus explaining his advanced form of power despite his humble human origins.

Personality: Easy-going, friendly, a loveable geek

*Bio: Dr. Kai Ferria is a remarkable lab technician, partly due to his Dark Gift, which allows him to 'synchronize' with his machinery. Kai was, and still is, an accomplished Necrobiologist, and he was one of the original six members of the team that completed "Project Black Genesis" -- the study that created Zohar and eventually the entire cloned vampire race. Kai, Dr. Endel Norcross, and Dr. Zadkiel Amarante are the only surviving members of the team. Kai and Endel have been reduced to simple lab technicians in the mass-cloning plants, while Zadkiel, who openly defied Miyuzel, was eliminated from the team.
Kai is a very good friend of Zadkiel's and he has always supported his theories and methods. Unbeknownst to Miyuzel or MVHQ, Kai has been hacking into the system for years, trying to uncover the "truths" hidden by the Council. He hopes to find something so shocking, he could use it against them. What are his motivations... ?

Dark Gift: Limitless; however, her most unique ability is that she can 'remove' the immortality of another vampire (This ability has special conditions, though...)

Personality: Motherly, kindhearted, empathetic, yet she can also be strict. She tends to jump into action too quickly and often takes too many problems on at once.

*Bio: Queen Soma is known as the "mother" of the vampire race, despite that no other vampire (besides Miyuzel) shares her direct bloodline. She was the very first "born" vampiric Hellion demon. She is the first member of three main vampire species; Hellion (born demon), Human-Vampire (descended from Cain, first bibilical human murderer, became first human-vampire), and Incubus/Succubus (fallen angels, turned nightmare demons, classified vampiric).
Soma is the queen of both Hell itself and the vampire 'kingdom' on earth. More info on that later...
The old and forgotten stories say that Soma and her earthly husband, King Amour, adopted two children because they could not have their own. The first child was an Egyptian orphan named Miyuzel, whom she sired later in his life. The second child was very... unique.

The child, or 'Little One' as his elder calls him, seems very interested in what's going on. The adult, whom the child calls 'Big Brother,' appears to know what's really going on, but he's reluctant to say it outright.

Personality: Headstrong, goal-oriented, thinks in terms of morality and logic (very unusual for a succubi...)

*Bio: Amaranth (so named for red-violet color of her hair) is the youngest daughter of the fallen angels, Succubus and Incubus. While her notorious parents and siblings prefer their dwelling in Hell, she and her fraternal twin brother, Londes, found themselves more interested in the human realm. They took the names "Amara Amarante" and "Londes Blanche" to blend into society, and have been living amongst humans since the early 16th century. Londes, true to his nature as an incubi, prefered to live amongst the noble classes, using his natural charm to effortlessly beguile and enchant those around him to get whatever he wanted. Amara, however, showed little interest in seduction and riches, but rather chose to live amongst the lower classes and serve as a muse for desperate artists. The twins were forced into hiding during the vampire purges of the 17th century, and only resurfaced during the Revolution (nearly a millennium later). Londes became a superstar model and actor, but Amara didn't care for such a glamourous lifestyle. Rather, she found herself interested in modern science. Biology, to her, was an art form and it was in that field that she met and fell in love with a young Scottish Botanist named Zachary Warren. However, the uglier side of the Revolution struck and Zachary was involuntarily sired by an attacking vampire. Considering his new immortality as a new beginning, Zachary (who was renamed "Zadkiel" from this point on) and Amara were married.

Personality: Highly charismatic, aloof. Also known to be extremely stubborn.

*Bio: The youngest son of the fallen angels, Incubus and Succubus, and fraternal twin to Amara. Born into the 'nobility' of Hell, Londes was determined to keep up that status on Earth as well. His vanity is matched only by his constant need for attention. On Earth he spent his time charming his way into the beds of the noble classes, albeit kings and queens alike (no telling how many princes and princesses were actually his children). That is, until he and Amara were forced underground during the 17th century Purges. During those long centuries of isolation and constantly being on the run, his sister notes that he suffered bouts of severe depression that would last for decades. But more importantly, he adopted a much-needed sense of humility and humbleness. Post-Revolution, Londes became an influential figure and his love for the spotlight blossomed again, though less out of his own vanity. In fact, his global popularity soared to such heights that leaders in the new government were immensely jealous. After a few years of openly discussing entering politics, he was assassinated during a worldwide broadcast. Amara was standing next to him at the time.

Age: 227 at the time of "Ice Asylum" story (sired about age 27)

Dark Gift: Enhanced Telekinesis (can lift/manipulate not only heavy objects, but also very tiny, precise objects)

Personality: Very professional, yet has a crude sense of humor. Also tends to be pessimistic.

*Bio: Endel was born in one of the isolated free human colonies, though his obsession with the mysterious anatomy of the undead eventually led him to leaving the colony. He studied under the strict post-Revolution human protection laws until breaking them by having a colleague sire him. For this, he can never return to he human colony. A ruling he didn't care to argue.
Endel is the youngest member of the 'Project Black Genesis' team, but by no means inferior. A specialist in nanomachines and cybernetics, he invented a new type of nanomachine-run cyberware that integrates with an organism's tissue and nerves to flawlessly imitate a natural organ or limb. Of course, he went through a few hundred live 'volunteers' before the project was complete.
Endel and Kai have had a long, bitter rivalry over the years, and Endel usually comes out on top--ego and all. As they both cyberware specialists, they clash over ideas and are constantly trying to outdo each other.

Age: 571 at the beginning of "Ice Asylum" story (sired at age 41)

Race: Vampire; born Human

Dark Gift: Barrier (can quickly conjure a solid energy field, which is useful as a shield, or for containment)

Personality: Tends to be a little too serious sometimes, but he's a nice guy!

*Bio: The youngest of the group, Damian was sired voluntarily after the Revolution. Both as a human and as a vampire, Damian has served as a nutritionist and interologist. His crowning achievement was the synthesis of artificial blood products for vampire consumption, and the breeding of miniature cloned livestock. His breakthrough led to the production of 'synth-blood' that vampires can safely 'eat' and not have to feed on humans. Think of it like soy imitation foods for vamps?
Damian has since devoted more of his time and energy to developing cloning technology, where he previously worked with Zadkiel on a project that determined that cloned humans cannot be sired by vampires or become lycanthropes. Knowing his expertise in cloning procedures, Zadkiel personally recommended Damian for the 'Project Black Genesis' team.

Age: 313 at the beginning of "Ice Asylum" story (lycans have long lifespans, but they are not immortal like vampires. Ripp is considered old in lycan years)

Race: Lycanthrope; Lycaeus canis aureus (A breed of canine lycan closely related to the Golden Jackal)

Dark Gift: Lycans naturally have enhanced strength and sharp intelligence. Ripp, however, is less physically strong, but far more intelligent than the average... dog?

Personality: Very noble and proud of his lycan heritage

*Bio: A major supporter of Lycan rights and pride, Ripp is proud to be what he is and is very adamant about political correctness (he considers being called a 'werewolf' an insult because he's technically a jackal, not a wolf). He's long been a professor at the University of Berlin, conducting lectures and seminars on Lycan history, evolutionary development, and biology. Although Lycans are NOT considered 'undead,' he is still an expert in necrobiology. He believes that Lycans and vampires have a lot in common--more than anyone might think.
Amara attended a series of his seminars and was so impressed by his work, that she began correspondence with him that lasted for years. Later, when she and Zadkiel were assembling their team for 'Project Black Genesis,' Amara immediately thought to call Ripp.

Dark Gift: Writhe can produce electricity and Agony can conduct and manipulate it -- the perfect lightning demon duo

Personality: Brutish, impulsive (Agony); calculating, quick-thinking (Writhe)

*Bio: A mercenary duo that Miyuzel entrusts the most dangerous or risky missions to. If there's ever a particularly grisly job that absolutely needs to be done, Writhe and Agony are the best ones to do it. They're the roughest of the toughest and they rarely fail.
While Agony spends her free-time and hard-earned money in bars, strip clubs, and gambling halls, Writhe spends his on weapon-buying and planning for their next mission. Agony's hair-trigger temper often causes trouble, but luckily Writhe is usually nearby to quell her rage.
Both are pure-blooded South American lightning demons, but Agony is a little less "natural" than her partner. She has a history as a test-subject for a study on cybernetic implants in demonic creatures. As a result, her body is nearly half-cybernetic. The nature of their relationship is completely unknown; they could be friends, lovers, strictly business partners, or even siblings. Little else of their origin is known.
